Red Dust/ Le ‘rouquin’

Drawing I did for a drawing Jam at www.drawingboard.org. You guys have probably never heard of this guy, his name is Red Dust, from the french BD ‘Comanche’.  I started reading these in the 70’s and even though I was reading Lieutenant BLUEBERRY by the amazing Giraud at the same time, somehow, the art of Hermann grabbed me more, it was so powerful and full of energy.  Here’s my lame attempt at coming up with a pose that captures that energy.  Inked with a brushpen.

Colour study/ Étude de couleurs

Well I realized I can’t learn watercolor fast enough for this deadline, so I’m going to go the Photoshop route.  Here’s a color study.

J’ai bien peur que je dois abandonner l’idée de colorier mon histoire à l’aquarelle.  Je me tourne donc vers quelque chose de plus facile, le coloriage avec Photoshop.  Voici une étude…

Birthday card/ Carte de fête

My son is turning 10 tomorow and here’s the card I made.  He’s using his savings to buy himself an electric guitar, so we all chiped in to make up the difference and we`re adding an amp… I can’t believe it…10 years old already! Drawn with a Wacom tablet in Sketchbook Pro and colored in Photoshop.

C’est la fête de Max demain et voici la carte que j’ai faite.  Il ramasse son argent pour s’acheter une guitar électrique, alors nous l’aidons pour cette achat et en plus un petit ampli.  J’ai peine à y croire…10 ans déjà!  Dessiné avec une ‘Wacom tablet’ dans Sketchbook Pro et couleurs avec ‘Photoshop’.
