Okay, I was cleaning up old crap today and found an old folder…I opened it and found one of the earliest script for ‘Revenge’. And just like that, I felt pretty stupid. Back in 1990, my English was not really good and I had asked my friend Craig Wilson to help me with the dialogues. I wrote my script on one side of a page and left room on the right for his comments and suggestions. Reading the stuff again, I realize the guy deserves co-writing credits for helping me with my story. Craig, if you are reading this, I’m sorry man, TOTALLY forgot about that old script. Then of course, years later, when I did that story again from memory, I forgot about that week-end in Montreal when Craig showed me his cool notes. They made their way into my subconscious and my story is what it is today in parts because of some of his suggestions.
Here are the three sketches he did for me at the time and the script notes…

Craig’s layout suggestion:

I did a bit more diggin’ and found my first attempt at this story and before Craig sends his Lawyers after me,
, the world will see that I did give him a script credit for the story back then…

Anyway, the moral of this story is don’t rely on your memory once you pass the age of 40!
Well I had a good week. I pencilled in rough the 15 pages of the story. Now I’m doing a second pass over the pencils, making them a bit more ‘tight’. Here’s an example of a panel with ‘tight pencils’. I hope to be half way done with the inks by the end of next week.

Here’s a detail of pg 1 at the rough stage with a wash test.
